The challenge of vulnerably housed young people
South Ayrshire Nightstop is an organisation which provides emergency accommodation for single young people, aged 16 to 25 who are vulnerably housed or homeless in the homes of approved volunteer hosts, for one night at a time.
The placement service can also offer more longer stay placements these placements will be reviewed and extended when appropriate.
Nightstop schemes across the UK have provided 60,000 nights of accommodation to 30,000 young people since the first scheme in Leeds took up referrals in 1987 this figure increases each and every night.
