Why Volunteer?
Volunteers gain a real sense of making a difference to individual young people on a night by night basis. There is a real sense of team at Nightstop where all volunteers are valued by our staff and Management Committee.Recognition and reward is recognized as having a key impact on the motivation and development of volunteers. South Ayrshire Nightstop understands that volunteers who provide services for nightstop are important therefore Investing in Volunteers with a Person Centered approach is a priority to SA Nightstop.
South Ayrshire Nightstop offers a Volunteer Development Plan to all volunteers in line with social inclusion and lifelong learning initiatives. The contents of the plan are specific to each volunteer and identify the volunteers starting point - their motivations, interests and needs. SA Nightstop will offer ongoing support, guidance and identify appropriate training.
All volunteers will have an opportunity to develop their own plan during their first supervision session. Supervision will be planned at agreed times to suit volunteers.
